At the OS SELNAJAYA headquarters in Jakarta, where the signing ceremony took place, Satoshi Miyajima, President Director of OS SELNAJAYA commented, “there have already been many talented and dedicated Indonesian people working in Miyagi Prefecture, making incredible contributions as technical intern trainees, specified skilled workers, and highly skilled foreign professionals. We predict that more Indonesian people will enter Miyagi Prefecture to work in the coming future,” He added, “by entering into this agreement, we would like to contribute to resolving the social issues in Miyagi Prefecture, and work to ensure that the Indonesian people working in Miyagi Prefecture have a safe and secure living and working environment.”

Miyagi Governor Yoshihiro Murai emphasizes “Japan has a declining birthrate and aging society, and this trend is also apparent in this prefecture. Therefore, foreign workers are active in various sectors, especially in caregiving, fisheries, construction, and manufacturing. In terms of foreigners who work in Miyagi Prefecture, the number of Indonesian workers ranks number 2, following Vietnamese workers. We are hoping to welcome more Indonesian people to work in Miyagi Prefecture. With this MOU, I hope to see more talented Indonesian workers in Miyagi Prefecture.” He added, “rather than treating them as mere labor force, Miyagi Prefecture would like to welcome them in as a family. We will do our utmost to support them so that even after they return to Indonesia, they will want to return to Miyagi Prefecture again for sightseeing.”

The OUTSOURCING group’s corporate philosophy is “Enhancing the quality of life of everyone around the world by eliminating inequalities in working conditions and creating truly motivating workplaces,” and its sustainability policy is to “realize the creation of “employment opportunities” and “education opportunities” for various people around the world through its business, and continuously work to solve social issues, grow its business, and contribute to stakeholders.” The Company is pursuing a system in which the Company’s business activities can be broadly returned to society.

OS SELNAJAYA will work closely with Miyagi Prefecture to establish an appropriate environment for accepting Indonesian workers and provide support in developing the business and Japanese skills necessary to live and work in Japan without any worries. In addition, as Governor Yoshihiro Murai mentioned above, it will work to make Miyagi Prefecture a place that is loved by Indonesian people, and a place in which they would like to live, work, and visit. Starting with this MOU with Miyagi Prefecture, the OUTSOURCING group will further strengthen collaboration with other local governments.
